Burry Port Community School wins 3 RIBA Awards!

Cygnum Timber Frame project Burry Port Community School picked up no less than 3 RIBA awards –

It took home the Regional Award and Sustainable Project of the Year Award. Brettstapel beauty, Burry Port Community Primary School really impressed the Welsh judging panel with its innovative and sustainable approach to education.

‘This is an extremely sensitive, very carefully considered building that focuses the on health and wellbeing of pupils and sets the bar higher for future schools in Wales,’ said Chair of the Judges, Chris Loyn.

The scheme also won best Project Architect, which was awarded to Architype’s George Mikurcik and architect Andrew Tidy of Carmarthenshire County Council.
